Wow! What a fantastic effort you all made to celebrate World Book Day this year. As usual it was very hard to find a winning character from each class because they were all so good. Thank you to all of the staff for dressing up as characters from Alice in Wonderland.
What a wonderful concert last Thursday! Hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did!
Take a look at some photos of the orchestra and us enjoying the concert. Well done Dan and Annabelle for being brave volunteers!
We may have only had a little bit of snow but we had lots of fun! it was lovely to see the children in different year groups playing and working together.

Due to our Digital Leaders kicking off Kodu Kup, a post about this was posted on the Microsoft Blog website.
As part of being a digital leader, Children from KS2 went to the Bett Show. This took place in London and promoted every technological that could be used in schools. After getting a busy commuter train up to London, we had arrived at the Excel Centre. There was so much to see!! One of the first stands we went to was Microsoft. When meeting the representatives on the stand they told us about an opportunity called the Kodu Kup. Children create different games and the best game that is created wins a prize. They wanted us to be part of the “opening ceremony” to promote the launch of the Kup.
We had an explore round the arena. We played with new bee bots, funky headphones and lego.
Well done to Wheat class for winning the marble jar challenge this half term!
We welcomed our friends from Sae Dong Nae for the bi-annual visit last Friday. They spent time with each of the classes undertaking activities such as origami, drumming and teaching the younger children to write their name in Korean.
In the afternoon, Year 2 played their recorders and Year 3 played their ukuleles during an assembly. Our visitors entertained us in return with drumming, skipping and singing.
We had a fantastic Sports Day on Monday this week followed by a whole series of activities during the rest of the week.
Thank you to Mr Sneddon for taking these fabulous pictures of Sports Day on our behalf.
Congratulations to Chickpea class who have won the prize for the most marbles in their jar this half term!
Year R have been working really hard in weaving club. They learnt the technique of weaving and have produced some lovely creations. They have weaved with paper, card, ribbon and a variety of different materials. They enjoyed creating a weaving picture and framing it. They then worked together to weave on a bigger scale. They used wallpaper and pieces of colourful material to create some lovely long pictures that have now been hung in Chickpea class. They look beautiful!
Well done Year R!
